    The Crescent Ski Council (CSC) Annual Spring Convention is a fun beach weekend with members of other ski and snowboard clubs. 

    Location: Kingston Plantation - 9800 Queensway Blvd, Myrtle Beach, SC 29572

    Activity Fees: Activity fees are waived if you stay at Kingston Plantation. If you lodge elsewhere, activity fees are $85. This includes the Early Bird Party, Beach Olympics, and Saturday night DJ Party with complimentary beverages.

    Enjoy drinks with Charlotte Ski and Snowboard Club members and guests on Monday, May 13th. 

    Meet us at the bar at Sugar Creek Brewing at 5:30 pm. We'll head to our Club Meeting in the event room at 6:30 pm. Guests are always welcome! 

    Parking: Park your car in the paid lot and come inside to grab one of our prepaid parking passes to put on your dash. Or there are signs in the bar area with a QR code to register your vehicle with free parking as a brewery patron.

    Join us for our club meeting at Sugar Creek Brewing on Monday, May 13th from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. Members and guests are always welcome, so bring a friend (or several).

    Club Meeting (6:30-8:00 pm): Learn about our upcoming events and trips. As always, there will be socializing, light appetizers, a cash bar, and door prizes from our club sponsors 

    Food Drive: Please bring nutritious canned goods for us to donate to Cooperative Christian Ministry’s food relief programs. They have specifically requested the following items:

    • 15 oz no salt added canned beans and vegetables
    • 15 oz no sugar added canned fruit
    • 5 oz canned tuna in water

    Bring two items to boost your door prize odds with an extra ticket. Or better yet, bring four items, and you’ll receive two extra tickets!

    Join us for a beautiful kayaking experience through the largest colony of Rocky Shoals Spider Lilies at Landsford Canal State Park on Saturday, June 1st! We’ll enjoy a leisurely paddle and stop for lunch on the banks. 

    Age Restrictions: All participants must be at least 14 years old. A parent or guardian must accompany children ages 14 to 17.  

    Guest Policy: Club members may bring one guest each. When you register for the event, include your guest’s name, email address, phone number, and emergency contact information. Guests will need to sign a waiver in the parking lot before we begin kayaking.

    How to Find Us: Meet us in the parking lot at 10 AM.

    Bring Your Own Kayak and Essential Items: Bring your kayak, PFD, lunch, snacks, sunscreen, sunglasses, and a change of clothes for the ride home. Landsford Canal State Park does not offer on-site kayak rentals. You are welcome to arrange a rental with one of the Lake Wylie, SC or nearby companies. PFDs are required since you’ll be navigating small rapids and shoals. 

    Park Admission Fees:
    Adults (16 years or older): $6
    Children: $3.50 
    South Carolina Seniors (with valid SC license): $3.75 

    Weather Permitting: Our paddle may be canceled if the weather forecast predicts rain or storms. If we have to cancel, you will be notified via email within 24-48 hours of the event.

    Join us for a guided kayaking eco-tour of the South Fork River at Spencer Mountain on Saturday, July 13th. Alisa arranged this private paddle for club members with the Catawba Riverkeeper Foundation.

    All Experience Levels Welcome: Expect class one and two rapids, depending on the water level and flow. Guides will help novice kayakers navigate the rapids, and we’ll take breaks along the way.

    How to Find Us: Meet us at the Catawba Riverkeeper Boathouse at 10 AM (115 Willow Dr, McAdenville, NC 28056). Our guide will shuttle us (and kayaks/equipment) to the put-in at Spencer Mountain.

    Cost (fees paid directly to Catawba Riverkeeper): 

    • Guided tour and kayak/equipment renal: $43.06
    • Guided tour (bring your own kayak/equipment): $27.30

    Guest Policy: Club members may bring one guest each. When beginning the registration process through our website, include your guest’s name, email, phone number, and emergency contact information. 

    Registration: Click the blue register button on this page to begin the registration process. You will receive an automated confirmation email immediately from club@CLTsnow.com; however, keep your eye on your inbox over the next one to two business days for another email. The second confirmation email will include instructions and a link to pay through Catawba Riverkeeper’s private event page. You are not officially signed up for the event until you complete registration with Catawba Riverkeeper.

    Kayaks and Equipment: Rental equipment is included in the $40 fee. If you bring your own kayak, keep in mind that kayaks with thin shells (like Pelican) are easily damaged by rocks. PFDs are required. Catawba Riverkeeper will provide a PFD if you don’t have one. 

    Other Essentials: Pack lunch, snacks, and water. Wear a hat and sunscreen. 

    Event Cancellation: Catawba Riverkeeper needs at least six participants registered by June 29th to host the event. This event may also be cancelled with a 24-hour notice via email from Catawba Riverkeeper due to rain, storms, water flow, and/or other water safety factors monitored by their scientists.
